We believe web-based businesses are among the more sustainable business models in existence, and we're thankful to notice the increasing awareness many companies have with respect to sustainability. We believe web-based technology can play a leadership role in facilitating other business' efforts. This is one reason we focus on Internet-based marketing education for our clients -- always actively discouraging outdated, wasteful practices such as telephone book advertising.

As we're new to Portland, we're currently involved in developing partnerships with local ISPs who are committed to sustainable practices (for example, powering their operations with renewable wind energy and so forth). We're happy to utilize companies like Canvas Dreams, acornhost, and thinkhost -- all local ISPs powered by renewable energy, for the benefit of our clients, and to further them along in their own sustainability initiatives.

Lately, we've been working with Canvas Dreams quite a bit on our web projects. So, all of those are powered by servers run from 100% wind power! The last three major sites we've done have been hosted there.

On the personal side of our lives, we're also highly committed to green living, and are happy to talk about some of these (relatively "unrelated to business") aspects of our lives, if anyone would like to. We've been living this lifestyle for many years -- and, in fact, this region's eco-awareness was one of the major factors that interested us in the Portland area. So, it's really a large, significant part of why we moved here in the first place!

Our footprint is small, but we hope that our influence can be significant.
